History
The Kazakhstan Press Club was founded in October 1994 as part of a project to highlight the privatization and development of a market economy of the American Agency for International Development (USAID).
In 1996, after the end of the USAID project, the Kazakhstan Press Club was registered under the name “Kazakhstan Press Club Information Center” in the form of a public association and began independent work. The Kazakhstan Press Club has laid a model for the creation of all other similar organizations in Kazakhstan.
From 1994 to January 2008, the Kazakhstan Press Club was located in the Republican House of Scientists and became a key place where local and foreign journalists gather to exchange views and information about events in the country and abroad.
