It is an NGO which in its activities revives the principles of conservation of indigenous people and encourages the development of a model for management of conservation areas in Sumatra in particular and in Indonesia in general.

Vision 

Striving for the development and development of community-based conservation principles that are just, equitable, participatory, open and sustainable so that they are able to meet the needs and welfare of today's human beings without threatening the fulfillment of the needs of the next generation.

 

Mission

1.  Encourage, develop and strengthen community-based natural resource management
2. Improve the function of the institution as a center for information and communication as well as conservation advocacy.
3. Facilitating various activities and conservation development activities with the community
4. Strengthening base groups so that they are able to carry out conservation movements.
5. Develop and strengthen organizational resources towards independence and professionalism

 

Values

1.  Nonpartisan; In carrying out the vision and mission, KKI WARSI is not affiliated with organizations that commit human rights violations, democracy, environmental destruction, gender, race, religion and ethnicity discrimination as well as political parties.
2. Independent; Every individual who is a component of KKI WARSI is obliged to maintain integrity, have the capacity and space to maintain freedom, consistency, decide important things according to their vision and concerns.
3. Volunteerism; a person or group of people who express their agreement to the vision and mission of KKI WARSI and work with the community without expecting remuneration and the interests of power
4. Transparency; Recognizing and upholding and trying to continuously apply social control to all efforts made by KKI-WARSI
5. Accountability; Ensure that all resources managed to achieve the vision and mission of KKI WARSI can be accounted for to the public in accordance with applicable laws.
6. Equality; trying to build relationships and cooperation with all parties on the basis of common concerns and equal positions, maintaining pluralism in terms of gender, religion, belief, race, ethnicity and ethnicity at all levels of the organization without forgetting professionalism.
