About
K-water was founded on November 16,1967 as the Korea Water Resources Development Corporation in accordance with the national development plan of the government intended to develop heavy and chemical industries and facilitate modernization of the national industrial structure.
K-water made a significant contribution to the growth of the national economy and the improvement of the public welfare by implementing water resources development projects and managing these resources. During this stage, K-water conducted the Han River area survey, with the USBR, which became the basis of the following water resources projects: Completed the Soyanggang Dam Project and began the Seobingo and Gumi Industrial Complex Projects.
