The association L'Art Rue is a factory of artistic spaces in the heart of the Medina of Tunis.

They consider that Art is a vector of educational, social, and economic development. This is why they design and implement artistic and cultural projects with and for the populations of the territory.

The immersive approach of the artists they welcome in residence, the educational activities they develop, the times dedicated to the thought that they design and the Dream City festival, everything converges so that Art becomes a society.

Main Projects / Activities

L'art Rue develops reflections on art in public spaces. Monthly meetings with theorists (sociologists, anthropologists, philosophers, architects, urban planners, art critics, writers, etc.) and multidisciplinary artists to discuss aesthetics in public space and the relationship of art to city ​​and citizens.

DREAM CITY, Multidisciplinary Arts Routes: In the form of a call for proposals every two years, around twenty projects are selected to be supported by Art Rue. The support is manifested by the financing of projects and by the provision of places of residence in connection with the project and the targeted urban site. Primacy is given to young artists.

A free quarterly magazine, ZAT, Zone Artistique Temporaire, or Thinking the City Artistically was created in October 2010.

Street Art also develops cultural and popular activities in precarious environments such as Laaroussa in partnership with Muzaq supported by the FAL
