L’artisan du Liban was created in 1979 by the non-profit organization, Mouvement Social, whose mission is to work towards a more just and humane world. They work for the social and economic development of local Lebanese artisans by providing sustainable solutions that help support artistry and preserve the cultural traditions of craft. Since their creation, they have supported more than 1000 artisans across the Lebanese territory, mostly in remote rural areas, and saved several crafts from extinction.
