The Future Association NEPAD Congo is a non-governmental, non-profit, scientific non-governmental organization working in the field of community development support. It was created on January 30, 2004 in Brazzaville as part of the ephoria sparked by the establishment in 2002 of the New Partnership for Africa's Development in acronym NEPAD. It was finally in May 2005 that the organization received its official approval. At the origin of the creation of the organization, are young people, women and academics eager to work for the citizen ownership of NEPAD and the fight against poverty. Its main objectives are: to promote community development by supporting economic and local development initiatives; integrate the gender dimension in development policies and decision-making; build the capacity of civil society organizations in the implementation of NEPAD; support the participation and access of rural populations to basic services and finally strengthen the capacities of community groups in training and mentoring vulnerable groups.
