About

CESA is a non-profit foundation that was legally created on May 19, 1967, through Ministerial Agreement No. 09025 granted by the Ministry of Social Welfare and Labor, today the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion, formerly the Ministry of Social Welfare. Currently the MAG is the body that runs their institutional life.

MISSION
CESA identifies itself with the social struggle for a more just society from the field of human, agrarian and rural development, it relates primarily to rural populations, as well as to small and medium peasant producers, it supports the strengthening of these sectors by the fundamental contribution they make to Ecuadorian society. CESA accompanies and supports the reflection within groups, platforms, forums, organizations and social movements to strengthen the processes of political incidence that are related to their strategic lines of management. Its capacities accumulated during more than five decades of institutional work in the agricultural and rural areas are available to both the Ecuadorian State and other parts of the world, for this, strategic alliances are fundamental.

VISION
CESA is a sustainable, decentralized, specialized institution, proposing new approaches and methodologies of human development that allows a strategic positioning at the national and international level. CESA has capitalized on its experiences and, commissioned by sectoral and territorial institutions, contributes to the development of plans, programs and projects of the State. As part of a sustainability strategy, it develops productive initiatives related to its strategic lines of work .
