About

Their history

The newspaper emerged in 2006 as an initiative of citizens who wanted to read a good newspaper and professionals who wanted to make good journalism. Convinced that the key to this happening was the collective ownership of the media, they achieved the initial financing among their potential readers and assumed the management of the environment among the workers.

11 years ago they published the daily from Monday to Friday and recently they started going out on weekends. Today they are the second best-selling newspaper nationwide. Since 2013 they publish the magazine Slow, which this year began to have regional circulation.

80% of their income comes from what subscribers pay for journalism with a different look.

They recognize themselves as a company of cultural and political influence, so in addition to their journalistic actions they have created the Day of the Future, Community, the daily and the daily Lab. They rely on participatory processes around the construction of solutions to the problems of their time.
