La Unidad del Registro Social (Social Registry Unit) (Ecuador)

The Social Registry is a cadastre that includes individualized social, economic and demographic information and at the family level; which allows institutions to identify their target populations, to better focus efforts towards groups in poverty. The Registry is part of Axis 1 of the National Development Plan 2017-2021: “Rights for all, during life”. By Executive No. 712 of April 11, 2019 Decree, the "Unity of the Social Register was created as a public-law, (...) with powers of coordination, management, monitoring and evaluation. It will be the entity responsible for administering and maintaining systems that allow management Social Register, and the administration, maintenance, updating and dissemination of information in the database itself. " By Ministerial Agreement No. SNPD-050-2018 of 3 August 2018, issues the "Technical Standard for updating, use and transfer of information from the Social Register".
