Lactea is a leading livestock company in the country, currently the largest dairy operation in Peru. Teamwork and constant innovation in the management of food, nutrition, milking, health and reproduction of our animals is what has allowed us to be the leaders of the country. We have adopted technology from different parts of the world adapting it to our reality being able, with our team of professionals and collaborators, to transform the forages and by-products of the agro-export in more than 30'000,000 liters of milk per year, generating an annual offer potential of 3,600 heifers of high genetic value, as well as 70 TN of gourmet cheeses per year that we sell in all the supermarket chains of the country.
History
Láctea was created in 2005, taking advantage of the high availability of agro-industry waste generated by the development of crops in the CHAVIMOCHIC irrigation project, generating a virtuous circle between the field and the industry, where agro-industry provides by-products for livestock feed, and livestock provide organic matter (manure) for the fields. On the way they managed to be the most competitive milk producers in the market, they profitably produce animals of great genetic value, making inroads in the elaboration of dairy products, cheeses, yoghurt and in the production of high quality beef and veal for the local market or export.
