Lady Margaret Hall
Lady Margaret Hall
About

Lady Margaret Hall began with nine women and is now a vibrant academic community transforming the lives of hundreds of students. They are diverse, open, intellectually curious and pioneering. They continue to break boundaries as the first Oxford College to establish a Foundation Year for under-represented students.

It was the first College - founded in 1878 - to give women an Oxford education and opened its doors in 1879 to nine women. LMH admitted men in 1979 and, in 2016, became the first Oxbridge College to establish a Foundation Year for under-represented students.
