Lamasat International was registered in 2002 as a manufacturing company of pipes and polypropylene bags. Since then the company has grown with investments to date of over US$ 60 million with a diverse range of products and services, with annual turnover having crossed the US$ 40 million mark in 2012. The company employs close to 900 staff.
The company was officially opened by the late President Levy Patrick Mwanawasa, SC (MHSRIP) in 2003. The company continues to enjoy support from the Government of the Republic of Zambia and in 2009 signed an Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement IPPA where the company has committed to invest a further US$ 21 million over the next few years.
FACILITIES
The company's business activities are spread out at a number of locations around Lusaka, with their Head Office being located in Chipwenpwenue Road off Kafue Road, Makeni, Lusaka. They have ultra modern facilities which include 50,000m2 of factories, warehousing facilities and modern offices.
They continually invest to grow their portfolio of facilities and currently developing show room and warehousing facilities along the busy Kafue Road in Lusaka.
They have modern productions lines for pipes, fittings, polypropylene bags, blow film and plastic printing, water tanks, wood works and aluminium works.
PRODUCTS
Their products are available in a wide range of sizes and specifications. The company maintains high standards in its manufacturing facilities and its products are manufactured in compliance with applicable products standards set by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS). In recognition of their quality and excellence in their offerings, they were also conferred with the International Star Award for Quality- Gold Category by the International Selection Committee of the Business Initiative Decisions of Paris, France.
