From it's early beginnings in 1933, Lavergne Construction has operated under several names, but the service has stayed the same. The company started as Lahey Construction, Powell Construction in 1964, Lavergne Construction in 1977 and finally incorporated as Lavergne Construction (1988) Ltd. when Brent Lavergne took presidency.

Over the years Lavergne Construction has provided a vast variety of services to not only the Peace River area, but all of Alberta, the Northwest Territories, northeast British Columbia and northwest Saskatchewan. The company primarily focuses on commercial construction and renovations, but over the years has expanded into fire and flood restoration work for numerous insurance companies. Thus beginning these endeavors, the staff has become fully certified in water damage restoration, odor control, fire and smoke restoration and mold abatement and control.
