Le Martin Pecheur
The Martin Pêcheur, a fish trading and distribution company, was created by Jean-Marc BERQUER, a former fisherman, in 1996 . The adventure begins with the installation of a first fish trade workshop in the vicinity of St. Pierre, Terre-Sainte. Today, Jean-Marc BERQUER is still manager of the company.
In 1999, Le Martin Pêcheur moved to Sainte-Marie, La Mare area. The "Export" activity of fresh fish is set up and is developing rapidly. An entire activity of importing frozen seafood supplements the supply of the fishing boats of the ENEZ Armament. This allows distribution on the local Reunion market to intensify.
For 10 years, Le Martin Pêcheur will lead this dual activity of importer and distributor / exporter.
In September 2009, the fishing activity which represents more than 1,500 tons of catch per year, partly exported to Europe, is entrusted to RéuniPêche.
Since then, Martin Pêcheur's main focus has been focused on two distinct areas of activity:
the distribution center of frozen and fresh foods on the CHR. The range ranges from seafood, fish cuts, cephalopods, to vegetables, pastries, pastries, etc.
the pole of fish marketing fresh on Reunion Island , which distributes whole and loin pelagic, as well as groundfish coming from Madagascar.See more
