Lesotho Millennium Development Agency (LMDA)

The Lesotho Millennium Development Agency (LMDA) is an organization created by the Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho. The Agency’s mandate is to complete, oversee and manage implementation of work-in-progress of projects which were not finalized by the Millennium Challenge Account Lesotho when the Lesotho Compact came to a close on the 14th January, 2014. The mandate of LMDA was further extended to include Compact II development and maintenance of health care facilities until December, 2016. Vision To be nationally and globally recognized as having successfully developed, contributed and implemented innovative and cost effective solutions to economic growth and sustainable development in Lesotho. Mission To effectively develop Compact II and implement Health Facilities Maintenance Programme in partnership with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and the Ministry of Health respectively, within time and budget, in an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable manner.
