HISTORY
The story of what would become the Librairie de France Groupe began in 1938.

The BARNOIN Establishments, created by the late Raoul BARNOIN, a French national, were initially centered in the areas of Bookstores and Press. This structure has gradually diversified into the fields of stationery, IT equipment, office equipment, gift items and sports.

In 1997, the BARNOIN establishments were bought by the Pharmafinance Group, which took the gamble of developing this activity.

The looting of stores following the socio-political turmoil of November 2004 forced the Pharmafinance Group to sell the Librairie de France to other Ivorian private investors.
