Life for Relief and Development is a global humanitarian relief and development organization, Headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, USA. Life is dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to people regardless of race, gender, religion and cultural background with an annual budget of over $50 million. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Life is in Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. It is also a member of InterAction, the largest alliance of US based NGO’s and partners with humanitarian agencies such as Unicef, AmeriCares, and Brothers Brothers.
Over the past 25 years, Life has been able to distribute over $452 million in humanitarian aid and relief to over 45 countries. Life works diligently to help the poor and needy in a number of countries such as Afghanistan, Ghana, Haiti, Philippine, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Pakistan, Palestine (through the office in Israel), Sierra Leone, Syria, and the US as well as others. When natural disasters strike, LIFE rushes to answer the call of help, and provides basic humanitarian assistance.
Life has established partnerships with many international NGO’s including UNDP, UNICEF, Brother’s Brother Foundation, AmeriCares, Veterans For Peace, MedWish International, Medical Teams International, Another Joy Foundation, Feed the Children, Qatar Charity, and Mohammad Bin Rashid Charity, as well as many others. Life is also a member of the American Council for Voluntary International Action (InterAction), which is the largest alliance of American international NGO’s.
