About

Litgrid – Lithuanian electricity transmission system operator – controls the most important energy flows in Lithuania. The main function of Litgrid is to ensure efficient, reliable and sustainable operation of Lithuanian power system.

One of the key responsibilities of Litgrid is the integration of the national power system into the European power infrastructure and electricity market. Litgrid implemented two strategic projects – the link with Sweden NordBalt and the link with Poland LitPol Link – at the end of 2015.

Established in 2010, Litgrid employs more than 230 professionals in electrical engineering, engineering infrastructure, project management etc.

Litgrid is an active member of ENTSO-E that unifies the European electricity transmission system operators.
