LSE Enterprise helps organisations tap into an array of knowledge, resulting in effective business advantage and improved decision-making.

LSE Enterprise provides a host of solutions from a tailor-made executive education programme, an in-depth study to a small-scale consultancy report.

Their clients include major businesses such as BP and Citigroup UK, national government agencies like the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, charities such as Oxfam and international organisations such as the United Nations and the World Bank. 

    • LSE Enterprise is a wholly owned subsidiary of the London School of Economics and Political Science.
    • It was founded in 1993 to enable commercial application of the LSE's expertise and intellectual resources.
    • We offer a professional interface with LSE's academic departments, institutes and research centres via services such as LSE Consulting and LSE Custom Programmes.
    • LSE Enterprise currently has 18 employees, based in the UK, Spain and Germany.
    • In 2011/12 LSE Enterprise carried out over 149 projects together with 188 LSE academics, supplementing their salaries by £1.95 million.
    • They have worked in 84 countries to date. 
    • All of their profit flows back into LSE each year to support the core teaching and research of the School: almost £12 million since we started.
    • They operate several collaborations in fields including international development, energy innovation and decision making for businesses.
    • They also manage the iXXi briefings, enabling experts and prominent people from around the world to share their thoughts on matters of current global importance.

 

 


LSE Consulting

LSE Consulting, part of LSE Enterprise, provides unique access to a huge range of expertise. It specialises in matching the needs of its clients to the skills of our academic consultants, ensuring that the relevant content, industry experience and regional or cultural familiarity is delivered. Its projects range from individual consultancy assignments to more complex projects involving large interdisciplinary teams.


They:

    • work closely with our clients to clarify the scope and objectives of the proposed project in its early stages
    • specialise in sourcing highly-skilled academic consultants with the appropriate research expertise, industry experience, and level of seniority to meet the specific needs of our clients
    • facilitate dialogue between our clients and academic consultants to develop a detailed project proposal, including key milestones and deliverables
    • provide a comprehensive support structure that benefits our clients throughout a project's duration, up to and beyond its completion
    • ensure that the outcomes of our projects are commensurate with LSE's international reputation for independence, excellence and innovation.

 



Corporate Sector Custom Programmes

We offer a professional interface with academic experts within and beyond LSE, through consultancy, research and an executive education service.

We have worked with a range of private companies, from some of the world's largest multinationals to young dynamic businesses looking to expand their horizons through training and education.

Cooperating closely with departments in the School such as Management, Economics, Industrial Relations, Law, and the Centre for Economic Performance, we specialise in delivering bespoke solutions to a diverse range of corporate clients, focusing closely on the particular training requirements of each client.

 

 

Public Sector Custom Programmes

LSE Custom Programmes has particular expertise in creating executive education courses for the public sector. We use a range of LSE experts and faculties, including the Department of Management, the Department of Government, the Department of International Relations and relevant LSE consortia. We have strong links with the Public Policy Group and the International Trade Policy Unit.

We emphasise designing and delivering a customised course with design and implementation solely focused on our individual clients. Our public sector clients are UK and internationally-based institutions and agencies. Our work ranges across government departments, regulators, public agencies and regional development agencies.
