MamaCoca is a Colombian social organization for environmental defense and human rights, active since 1998 and legally founded in 2003 under Law 1901 of France. MamaCoca, in addition to its activity in favor of drug policy reforms based on science and evidence, is proudly part of the "biodiverse" Colombian Environmental Movement, a large and committed mourner of one of the devastated victims of the armed conflict: the natural resources of the nation.
It is a specialized information space on the complexity and diverse expressions of the war against plants and psychoactive substances (SPA), mainly the processes related to the Coca Leaf and its derivatives. The documents published and written by MamaCoca feed the debate in a documented way and from a pluralistic point of view.
MamaCoca proposes its extensive information in seven chronological databases that seek to facilitate the exhaustive research processes that will allow Colombia to know the origins of this phenomenon that has marked its history so much and, with this knowledge, to design the way back to normalization.See more
