MSA is a registered UK Charity founded in 2000. It is a not-for-profit private company limited by guarantee, with Country Branches in Ghana, Nigeria, and Tanzania. The purpose of MSA is to advocate and support sound organization (entities and systems) and management that are responsive to the evolving African situation, to strengthen the effectiveness and sustainable impact of organizations in sub-Saharan Africa engaged in advancing African development, with a focus on the social sector (health, education, social development).

MSA is dedicated to organization effectiveness through institutional, organizational and management capacity building, for African development, focusing on organizations and programs. MSA has seen the critical needs in leadership, organization, and management in Africa, and was formed to promote and support application of sound concepts and practices to strengthen government and civil society as well as private sector organizations engaged in social sector development.
