• Supporting the development and implementation of policies and strategies aiming at decentralized health service administration and management
• Contributing to the development and implementation of innovative financing models (health insurances) and outcome oriented provider payment schemes (DRG like systems)
• Helping to regularise the development of private (for profit and not-for-profit) health care providers and to establish public-private partnerships in the health sector

 

Health Infrastructure Development and Equipment Procurement

m4h provides all services related to Health Infrastructure Development.

In summary our work involves:

• Conducting needs-assessment and feasibility studies including business plans and conceptual / functional / architectural master plans for the development of health facilities
• Planning and managing the procurement of infrastructure works as well as the delivery of medical equipment
• Accompanying or leading the commissioning and the operational management of health facilities and services

 

Health Service Delivery and Health Service Management

We use a "whole systems approach", including all relevant stakeholder in the health sector to support health service delivery.

• Assisting with the development and implementation of Quality Management Systems including certification / licensing and accreditation systems
• Strengthening effective coordination and cooperation between primary and referral (secondary and tertiary) levels of health care including rehabilitation
• Supporting the development and implementation of policies and strategies to promote health and to strengthen the prevention of both communicable and non-communicable diseases
• Reinforcing Human Resources for Health Management (professional and institutional capacity building) (Continuous Medical / Professional Education, Career Development, International Exchange programs, etc.) 

 

Health Information Systems and Health Systems Research

We are supporting the development of Health Management Information Systems at different regional and service levels.

In summary our work involves:

• Supporting the development and implementation of Health Management Information Systems at central (national), regional / provincial, local (district), facility, and service levels
• Promoting Electronic Patient Records (EPR) as key tool for data, information, and process management in clinical care and core element of a future electronic health record
• Introducing systematic performance monitoring and evaluation of health services at facility, local, regional and national levels and analyse and evaluate achievements and trends
• Fostering the integration of e-health solutions, e.g. e-learning, telemedicine, web based health information, etc. into the health care system
