MANQ'A, "food" in Aymara, is a cooking school project that seeks to generate life opportunities for young Bolivians with the revaluation and consumption of local products. In addition, the MANQ'A cooking schools are part of the Bolivian Gastronomic Integration Movement (MIGA), whose purpose is to promote and promote Bolivian food wealth and heritage. The inspiration, for the realization of the project, comes from the vision of Danish chef Claus Meyer.
MANQ'A, direct their attention and their results to the three most important groups of the gastronomic chain:
a) Cooks, (mainly young people with limited resources) who learn to recover local knowledge and practices, thus strengthening their cultural identity and improving their income, through technical training in gastronomy.
b) Small producers, who permanently supply healthy and ecological products to schools, and improve their income.
c) Consumers, who renew their eating habits by consuming healthy food made by young people at affordable prices.
