Mathematica
To advance progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals, changemakers need robust, actionable evidence to guide strategy and identify and scale effective approaches. Mathematica’s International Unit works closely with a range of development partners to uncover and advance solutions that will improve the lives of millions across the globe.
We offer our partners a full range of measurement, evaluation, and learning services. We provide insights to inform strategies and programs, measure progress and effectiveness, and generate and disseminate evidence and learning to advance the field. Our approach is collaborative and flexible. We work together with our clients to ensure our work is responsive to their learning needs and aligned with evolving priorities and changes in the external landscape.
We work in more than 50 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, collaborating with country partners to develop culturally sensitive approaches that reflect a deep understanding of the local context. Our research spans a range of sectors, including education and workforce development; energy and climate; food and agriculture; health and nutrition; social protection; transportation; and water and sanitation. Across these sectors, we have supported our clients to address a range of issues—from improving early grade reading in Latin America and the Caribbean, to increasing productivity and market access for smallholder farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa, to expanding access to quality reproductive health services around the world.
Some of our key partners include the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, Dubai Cares, the Hewlett Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the U.S. Agency for International Development.
