McAuley Community Services for Women provides much needed services for women and their children who are escaping family violence, and for women who are homeless.
McAuley was created in 2008, when the Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea joined two of its long-running services – McAuley House (formerly Regina Coeli) and McAuley Care (formerly Mercy Care).
Today, they offer three programs for women and their children to help them rebuild their lives:
Mission
McAuley Community Services for Women is a ministry of the Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea, impelled by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and enriched by the spirituality of Catherine McAuley, the foundress of the Sisters of Mercy.
Their mission is to provide accommodation, services, advocacy and support for women who are homeless and, women and their accompanying children who experience family violence.
