Building on a proud tradition, Melbourne Grammar School fosters excellence in its students, providing a meaningful and fulfilling education across three campuses.

Catering to some 1,800 students from Prep to Year 12, the School has a strong tradition of academic excellence and offers comprehensive learning and leadership opportunities, allowing students to grow and achieve within a strong and supportive community.

Their junior school, Grimwade House, is located in Caulfield and caters to boys and girls from Prep to Year 6.Their middle school, Wadhurst, is for boys in Years 7 and 8 and is located in South Yarra alongside their Senior School, which is for boys in Years 9 to 12. Boys from Years 7 to 12 can attend as day students or boarders.

Melbourne Grammar School is distinguished by an involved and vital community, with parents encouraged to participate in many aspects of School life. The importance of community is reflected in the School’s culture of philanthropy, with the legacy of past generations allowing the School to grow and advance.

Founded in 1858 by the first Bishop of Melbourne, Melbourne Grammar School is an Anglican school in the tradition of the Church of England. While they embrace a Christian philosophy, they warmly welcome families from a diverse range of religious and cultural backgrounds and actively promote tolerance and compassion. As part of providing a meaningful and holistic education, the School values the examination of religious, moral and ethical issues and encourages students to explore and share their beliefs.
