At Metis they are committed to the principles of ‘good governance.’ Through evaluations, research and analysis, consulting and training, they contribute to improving the dialogue between European institutions, national authorities, regions and beneficiaries of EU funds. They provide high quality, knowledge intensive services that cover all phases of the policy cycle.
They offer the following services:
Analysis of data and facts
A descriptive and technically sound synthesis of facts and figures based on academic literature, studies and evaluations is one of their main methods of work.
Expert knowledge and experience
Metis staff has extensive knowledge and experience in substantive and organisational work. They work closely together with their external experts from all of the EU countries.
Surveys and participation processes
Surveys, interviews, focus groups – there is a multitude of methods that can make ‘tacit knowledge’ visible. Through good techniques this knowledge can be compared, fact- based and well documented.
Seminars and events
They enjoy utilising interactive methods to bring various stakeholders together in a dialogue, to challenge perceptions and to work together to create solutions. Many of their staff are well trained and have practical experience in these interactive methods.
Writing and Presenting
Report writing – in both German and English – is (almost) always the end product of a project. Graphical representations, accurate and clear language, readability and customisation to the client’s wishes are important to both their clients and them.
