The Mexican Institute of Water Technology (IMTA) is a decentralized public body that addresses the national and regional challenges associated with water management and outlines new approaches in technological research and development to protect the resource and allocate it in a manner efficient and equitable among the different users.
The objectives of the Institute are:
Contribute to the sustainable management of water through knowledge, technology, training of human resources and innovation.
Incorporate the water sector in the knowledge society.
Create a high added value for the institutions of the water sector through knowledge, the creation and adaptation of technologies and the supply of highly specialized technological services.
Promote the development of water science and technology, especially through the training of highly qualified personnel at the specialization and graduate level.
To this end, IMTA has specific capabilities and competencies that give it a competitive advantage and allow it to add value to the products and services it offers its customers and users.
