Mexico Unido Contra la Delincuencia is a non-profit, secular, and nonpartisan civil association that works in favor of security, justice, and peace in Mexico.
The great effort deployed during more than two decades of existence has led us to be a leading organization in:
- - The analysis of security, legality, and justice policies;
- - The implementation of projects for the social prevention of violence, culture of legality, and community empowerment; and
- - The impact on public policies in matters of citizen security, attention to victims, culture of legality, and drugs.
During this time, their work has guided the generation of better laws and public policies, the training of responsible and law-abiding citizens, the prevention of crime through community empowerment, care for victims, and the professionalization of the authorities in charge of public safety and the administration of justice.
Mission
Unite society to demand results and be a link between it and the authorities to join forces in favor of security, peace, and justice.
Vision
To achieve that Mexican men and women live and develop in a country where the rule of law, justice, and democracy prevails.
How? Through citizens aware of their social responsibility, who participate and demand that the authorities comply with the law.
Goals:
- - Demand better security and justice and collaborate with the authorities in actions for this purpose;
- - Promote effective mechanisms to prevent crime, strengthen public security and improve the administration of justice;
- - Provide legal and psychological guidance to crime victims; and
- Promote a culture of legality and civic education.
They are pioneers in:
- - Provide comprehensive care to victims of high-impact crimes.
- - Monitor the service provided by the Public Ministry agencies and the orality rooms.
- - Open the debate and influence the public agenda, to change the punitive paradigm of the "war on drugs" to replace it with another one of public health.
- - Promote the culture of legality in Mexico to strengthen the rule of law.
