The MICHAUD story began in the 1950s in southeastern France. At the time, two brothers with woodlands decided to exploit this heritage to make beams for the building. The geographical proximity of the company to the EDF center in Bourg-en-Bresse has created a close and lasting relationship between the two entities.

Thanks to the years of research, the controlled and successful production processes, the implementation of quality plans and the desire for continuous improvement, MICHAUD designs, manufactures and distributes products whose quality and reliability have long been his fame.

The group was one of the first in France to be certified according to the ISO 9001 standard and obtained, for the protection of the environment, the ISO 14001 certification.

Finally, the MICHAUD group is one of the few manufacturers to have invested, for the quality satisfaction of its customers, in a testing laboratory, accredited by COFRAC since 1995. COFRAC allows accredited laboratories and organizations to bring proof of their skills and impartiality. It offers companies a real guarantee of confidence in the services. The COFRAC accreditation , recognized in France, is also accredited at European and world level through multilateral agreements.
