Microcredit Enterprises's, a 501(c)(3) public charity with an Internal Revenue Service approval letter, objective is to help thousands of the most impoverished rural poor in developing countries to build cottage businesses—and ultimately provide food security for millions. The unique Guarantor model of MicroCredit Enterprises utilizes the financial capital and good credit of high net worth individuals and institutions to guarantee micro loans that lead to sustainable communities and social good.
MicroCredit Enterprises now has over 40 Guarantors backing 42 loans to a portfolio of local finance organizations, providing food security for hundreds of thousands of women and children.
We consider it our mission to be committed to reducing poverty by mobilizing private investment capital to finance micro-businesses of poor families throughout the developing world. MicroCredit Enterprises gears its entrepreneurial results to produce jobs, sustain micro-businesses and improve human lives. Our organization is almost entirely composed of pro bono executives, and we maintain a “virtual” operation without traditional “brick and mortar” overhead costs. This allows MicroCredit Enterprises to keep its overhead extraordinarily low.
