About

Microcredit Foundation MI-BOSPO is a legal follower of MCO 'MI-BOSPO' that was established in 2000 by the Humanitarian organisation 'Bosnian Council for Aid-BOSPO', Tuzla (www.bospo.ba), which in that way formed its microcredit program as a separate legal entity.  Microcredit programme in BOSPO commenced in March 1996 as a pilot project of the World Bank with the purpose of researching the needs and possibilities for establishment of micro-crediting in BiH. That was the time when the foundation for the general orientation, social mission and values which institutions of micro-crediting must follow were made.

Mission

MI - BOSPO provides access to credit and non-financial services to individuals, but especially women entrepreneurs, with low income, in order to strengthen entrepreneurship, and their economic and social status. MI - BOSPO provides responsible financing through application of consumer protection principles whereby tends to be an important player in the development of female entrepreneurship. By supporting and encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit in women they believe that they are economically strengthening families and influencing reduction of poverty in the society.

They are serving MI – BOSPO clients in an honest and responsible way, building mutual trust and by building long-term partnerships.

Successful entrepreneur, educated and emancipated women in economically stronger family. Their clients are economically empowered with clearly defined objectives and entrepreneurial attitudes, ready to make good business decisions, which are the result of their successful cooperation.
