About

Mindful Philanthropy’s mission is to catalyze impactful funding in the areas of mental health, addiction, and well-being.

Our Story

Founded in 2020, Mindful Philanthropy was established by representatives from Peg’s Foundation, Well Being Trust, Scattergood Foundation, and The John Heller Fund. The organization emerged at a time when mental health was often excluded from broader philanthropic conversations about improving national well-being. The founders recognized this critical gap and sought to elevate the importance of high-impact mental health funding.

Today, Mindful Philanthropy leads efforts to guide the philanthropic sector in transforming community health, offering an approach that helps simplify the complex and expansive mental health landscape.

Our Vision

Mindful Philanthropy envisions a world where all funders are invested in integrated solutions for mental health and well-being, ensuring that every individual has equitable access to the tools and resources needed to thrive.
