The Ministry's area of intervention are the following:

Strengthen the institutional framework
The objective is to ensure greater efficiency in the intervention of livestock services and to improve the professionalization and organization of actors in the sector.
 
Improve marketing conditions
The program aims to modernize the infrastructure and equipment for processing and distributing animal products and to strengthen the quality management of these products.
 
Secure breeding
The program which aims to increase the productivity of traditional breeding, through the improvement of general production conditions, within the framework of sustainable development and eradication 
 
Improve animal production
The objective is to increase the productivity of the sector, through sustainable production systems and better control of animal diseases.
