The core mandate of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Security is to formulate agricultural development policies and to advise the Government on such policies relating to its administration and the management of the agricultural sector of the Sierra Leone's economy. This overall mandate is further narrowed /tailored to match the individual Divisions as follows:
