History
In 1920 a decree was issued to establish a breeding center for horses.
Moreover, the governor of Lebanon issued Trrapod ( Trabaud) Another decree in the same year prohibits the breeding of horses without a license.
In 1925 , the governor of Lebanon issued at that time Leon agent ( Leon Keyla) Decree No. 3044 to impose the need to establish a pest control center.
In 1929 Decree No. 5190 was issued to highlight the importance of establishing a center for agricultural machinery.
In 1932 President Charles Dabbas issued Decree No. 5190, which requires the establishment of a center for agricultural machinery. Moreover, Decree No. 1490 in 1933 , stressed the importance of finding a trade name for each type of fruit destined for export.
In 1955 , Legislative Decree No. 31 was issued on 18/1/1955 which defined the duties of the Ministry of Agriculture.
In 1994 , the Legislative Decree No. 5246 of 5/6/1994 , which is currently in force, was issued by the Ministry of Agriculture.
