MISSION

The Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development is the State body responsible for: "Define the Haitian government's economic sector policy in the fields of agriculture, livestock farming, renewable natural resources and rural development ".

MAIN ASSIGNMENTS

• Set the objectives of the Government in terms of agricultural policy, breeding and management of renewable natural resources.
• Implement the human, material and financial resources necessary to achieve these objectives.
• Promote positive changes in the rural environment through the increase of major productions, farmer training, the transfer of adapted technologies, the search for niche markets and markets favorable to producers, the promotion of agricultural entrepreneurship, the value-added through the promotion of product processing techniques, the creation of agricultural and non-agricultural jobs in rural areas.
