In the context of the fourth industrial revolution, the advent of the 5th Generation of Technologies, telecommunications and digital transformation, marked by a new value chain of socio-economic development, the digital economy is essential and has a driving effect on the values ​​of equity, gender, local area to lead to a business culture, better a digital culture.

Technological innovation and digital emergence offer endless opportunities to accelerate the process of structural transformation and the achievement of the objectives of strengthening institutional governance, simplifying procedures, securing information systems, reduction of costs and delays, continuous improvement of performance and ultimately the development of public and private digital service applications in all sectors of the economy.

In Senegal, the Government has positioned it as a strategic lever in the implementation of the Emerging Senegal Plan (PSE).

Aware of the enormous digital potential for all sectors of activity, President Macky SALL has, in the second phase of the PES Priority Action Plan, PAP II, identified five (5) major initiatives, the third of which devotes a priority to "an inclusive digital economy" to better prepare us for the challenges of the society of the future.

Also, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Telecommunications is responsible for preparing and implementing the policy defined by the Head of State in the areas of Digital Economy, Telecommunications and Post.
