The missions of the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training
Extract from decree N ° 2011/126 of 23 May 2011 on the organization of the Ministry of Employment and Professional Training
Article 1 .- (1) The Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training is placed under the authority of a Minister.
(2) The Minister of Employment and Vocational Training is responsible for the development and implementation of the Government's policy on employment, training and professional integration.
As such, it is responsible for: -the development of employment policy; -defense and promotion of employment; -orientation and placement of the workforce; -studies on employment and labor market developments; -studies on the development of job qualifications; -the design and organization of rapid vocational training activities; -defining organizational standards for apprenticeship and vocational qualification systems and monitoring their compliance; -organizing and monitoring the professional integration of young people trained; -organizing retraining or retraining activities for workers who have lost their jobs.
(3) He supervises the National Employment Fund and intervention agencies in the field of job prospecting.
