What is the Ministry of Energy and Mines?
The Ministry of Energy and Mines is a dependency of the Presidency of the Dominican Republic , an organization created by Law 100-13, in 2013, with the purpose of being the Public Administration body dependent on the Executive Power, in charge of the formulation and administration of the national metallic and non-metallic energy and mining policy. It corresponds to the Ministry of Energy and Mines, as the governing body of the system, the formulation, adoption, monitoring, evaluation and control of policies, strategies, general plans, programs, projects and services related to the energy sector and its energy subsectors. electricity, renewable energy, nuclear energy, natural gas and mining.
The main functions performed by the Ministry of Energy and Mines are:
