VISION
To be, by 2032, an efficient, effective and highly qualified ministry, whose decisions allow for the establishment of policies and the application of a regulatory and operational framework of a sectoral nature, which promotes universal coverage of electric energy, as well as the sustainable and responsible use of mining and energy resources (both hydrocarbons and electric energy), generating confidence and certainty that promote the increase of national and foreign investment.

MISSION
The governing institution of the regulatory regime applicable to the promotion, production, distribution, and marketing of energy, hydrocarbons, and the exploitation of mineral resources in Guatemala, ensuring that these activities generate the maximum possible contribution to the country's Sustainable Development.
