Functions
The Ministry of Energy implements and monitors the Government's energy policy.
In this capacity, he is responsible for:
- the development and application of legislation and regulations concerning the research, production, supply and distribution of energy products in relation to the competent ministers;
- the creation, equipment and control of energy infrastructure in relation with the competent Ministers;
- control of the production, supply and distribution of conventional and renewable energies in relation with the competent Ministers;
- the promotion of new and renewable energies;
- the promotion of energy savings and energy efficiency in general.
The Ministry of Energy is structured around the following two structures:
- the Minister's Office;
- the General Secretariat
