The Ministry of Finance aims to establish the foundations and directions of the financial planning of the State and to define the general and detailed framework for the elements of the financial plan within the framework of its general policy and development plans and to prepare the means of preparing the plan and supervising its implementation.

The Ministry seeks to achieve its objectives as follows:

• Managing the public treasury and enhancing its sources of nutrition.
• Management and regulation of banking and insurance and linking the plans of credit and insurance and objectives of the State's financial plan and development plan.
• Management and development of customs tax system.
• Develop civil service legislation and retirement within the framework of the general policy of the state in the field of civil service, public service and social security.
