Ministry of Health (Ministerio de Salud - MINSAL) (El Salvador)

The Government of El Salvador has established the Ministry of Public Health (Ministerio de Salud Pública - MINSAL) with the goal of ensuring public health of the citizens of the country and to enable various activities that fall within the responsibility of the State in the context of public health and social care.

The responsibilities of the Ministry are the following: planning, directing, coordinating and implementing the Government's policy on public health and social care and monitoring the activities of the policy, promulgating rules and techniques in health and ordering measures and arrangements necessary to safeguard the health of the population.
