Strategic guidelines
The Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining publishes and disseminates its strategic guidelines 2015-2020 among citizens. These are the following:
- Strengthen the national industry, supporting its development and participating actively in its promotion, acting as an articulator between actors of the different sectors of the productive chains (regardless of their size and condition of public or private).
- Promote and develop micro, small and medium companies, with special emphasis on the territorial and the promotion of entrepreneurship.
- Expand the productive matrix, moving towards increasing the proportion of knowledge-intensive industries or medium or high technology content.
- Incorporate knowledge and technological value to all sectors of the productive matrix, and promote the acquisition of transversal skills (abstract, computational or scientific thinking) in students and young workers.
- Act as articulator in the efforts to overcome the gap between academia, industry and public sector, advancing in the guidelines of the National Strategic Plan for Science, Technology and Innovation (Pencti) in an open innovation scheme.
- Continue with the development of telecommunications, energy and public digital infrastructure.
- Continue with the diversification of the country's energy matrix.
