About

The Ministry of Industry started out in 1933 as the Industrial Division in the Department of Commerce (Currently Ministry of Commerce) of the Ministry of Economics (Currently defunct). In 1941 the division was upgraded to the Department of Industry until May 5th,1942 the Ministry of Industry was created in its own right.

Missions:

  • Promote and cultivate entrepreneurs’ strength and competitiveness in the global market
  • Improve and develop the industrial ecosystem to facilitate the transformation towards Industry 4.0
  • Promote environmentally friendly production in the industrial sector
  • Coordinate and integrate the works of related organizations, both internal and external, to achieve common development goals
