In Mozambique, rural areas account for 90% of the national territory, and account for about 68% of the country's total population. Created with the mandate to ensure and promote sustainable and equitable development, the mission of the Ministry of Land, Environment and Rural Development (MITADER) focuses on reducing socio-economic inequalities with emphasis on the rural environment, by promoting a diversified economy and inclusive. The MITADER constitution, as its name suggests, encompasses a multiple and transversal area of ‚Äč‚Äčintervention (Earth, Environment and Rural Development), creating an odd opportunity to focus the Government's priority policies and ensure the implementation of a National Program for Sustainable Development , in an integrated and comprehensive manner.
