The Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour is responsible for the effective management of the natural resources of the British Virgin Islands. This function is carried out through the various departments and statutory bodies in the Ministry’s portfolio. The Ministry is also responsible for regulating the supply of labour in the Territory and ensuring that supply meets demand. VISION: The Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour endeavours to achieve sound stewardship of our natural resources through implementation of environmentally friendly management practices, as well as, to achieve fairness in the workplace for both employees and employers by upholding the labour laws. MISSION: The Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour endeavours to effectively manage and administer the natural resources of the Territory in a manner that ensures long term sustainability and ensure that the supply of labour is commensurate with the level of development in all sectors of the economy under working conditions which preserves their health, safety, and welfare.
