The Ministry of Preschool Education carries out its activities in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 30, 2017 No. UP-5198 “On measures to fundamentally improve the management of the system of preschool education.
The main tasks and activities of the Ministry of Preschool Education are:
- first, the development and practical implementation of a unified state policy in the field of pre-school education;
- second, the creation of conditions for the full intellectual, moral, aesthetic and physical development of children of preschool age, taking into account the advanced foreign experience;
- third, the phased provision of full coverage of children in pre-school education by creating a network of state and non-state pre-school educational institutions competing with each other, providing them with tax benefits and preferences, allocating budget subsidies, and introducing alternative forms of pre-school education and upbringing into practice;
- fourth, the introduction of modern innovative educational technologies, effective forms and methods of training and education, including in the private sector, into the educational process;
- fifth, provision of preschool educational institutions with educational, methodical, didactic materials, educational games and toys, fiction, reflecting national cultural and historical values and instilling interest in reading books from childhood;
- sixth, retraining and advanced training of managers and pedagogical staff of the preschool education system on the basis of modern pedagogical technologies and methods that are able to solve the issues of education and comprehensive development of children at a high professional level;
- Seventh, the creation of a system of material incentives for employees of preschool institutions and the involvement of experienced, qualified and professionally motivated teachers and educators in the educational process;
- Eighth, the creation of conditions aimed at providing pupils of preschool educational institutions with decent conditions for children, including a full, rational, balanced, healthy diet, outdoor games and exercises, in volumes and intensity determined by sound medical prescriptions, with elements of entertaining and cognitive classes;
- ninth, coordinating with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan in preschool educational institutions of medical care for children and taking preventive measures to protect their lives and health.
