The Mexican Ministry of Public Education is a federal government authority with Cabinet representation and responsibility for overseeing the development and implementation of national educational policy and school standards in Mexico.
Through the publication of the decree in the Official Gazette, the Ministry of Education was established on October 3, 1921.
The Secretary of Public Education has the essential purpose of creating conditions that will ensure the access of all Mexicans and Mexicans to a quality education, in the level and modality that require it and in the place where they demand it.
